Paid from Google Adsense, $103 US!

Posted on January 4, 2009

Yesterday I checked the mail and my Google Adsense cheque was in there.  It totaled $103 in USD.  And because of the huge Canadian dollar drop, It ended up being about $130 in Canadian dollars.  And products in Canada don’t go up in price because of the exchange rate.  So if I continue to send american money to my bank and exchange it into Canadian, I can get a lot more stuff from stores in my area.  Pretty cool eh?  :).  Anyway, I also cashed 4 Adbrite cheques (totaling about $100 USD) which I had sitting in my room, along with some cash.  So I have a decent amount of money in the bank, debating whether or not to add some of it to my Paypal account to buy some websites, then flip them.  I am going to see how these few websites I bought sell.  And if all goes well then I will shoot for about $500 profit and build from that.  Who knows, this could be my dream business :).  I will update you guys soon about how this goes.  I am building the websites tonight and selling in about a week, maybe will put them up next Sunday.  Well I need to go now before it gets too late.  Witner holidays are over now, time to start going to bed before midnight instead of 4am :).

Revenue Stats for December 2008

Posted on January 2, 2009

This wasn’t a very powerful earnings month but I did do alright.  Here are my stats…

Adsense: $12.68
Bidvertiser: $1.32
Adbrite: $16.21
Amped Media: $3.05
CPA Lead: $47.19
Sedo: $2.18
Host Gator Affiliate: $50
Sales: $254.76
Services: $56.77
Link Sales/paid review/advertising spots: $30

Total: 474.16

The total seems high but I got some good sales this month.  My plans for January aren’t too huge.  I am doing some investments for February and March, though I do hope to obtain atleast $500 for January.  Hope I can do it.  I am pretty much going to flip more websites, and get Sedo back to where it was.  I stopped advertising videos which linked to Sedo parked sites.  I was making $40/month with only 5 videos up.  I want to put one video up per day, hoping to get $100 this month from 2 sedo parked websites.  Also, I will be doing more with Adsense and Amped Media.  I want atleast 5 leads per day with Amped Media and more adsense clicks.  That’s it for today folks.  I am launching a new website just for members of The Digital Point Forums so stay tuned, I will announce it when it is up and running!

Adsense clicks a little low!

Posted on January 2, 2009

I logged in to check adsense today and saw I had 4 clicks.  Before looking at total earnings, I said to myself, good.  This should be atleast over a dollar.  I looked down and it was 1 cent!  I stupid penny.  Four clicks = $0.01…I just don`t get it anymore!  Here is a screenshot…

That means that each click was worth $0.0025.  A wad of bullshit if you ask me, excuse the language.  Lol.  I just wanted to make a quick post to share with you all how dumb adsense is.  Thanks for reading.  If you were involved in our contest and missed the post, then please look back at the one published before this one!

Paid to rant!

Posted on December 29, 2008

Ranting is a spicy word for complaining.  Used on the internet a lot, on blogs or forums of people not liking something about a product, business, idea, etc.  I found this website thanks to The University Kid which pays you inbetween $5-$10 to rant.  Depdning on quality, popularity, length, and the blog owner’s likeness to the topic.  The website will be listed at the end of the post.  Anyway, I submitted a rant, maybe I can become a regular ranter since there are so many things out there I don’t like.  This would help me, and that blog.

Why would it help me?

  • People will hear my voice which is complaining about something that deserves it
  • I get some Paypal cash

Why does it help Rant blogger?

  • he has a nice list of readers who enjoy this kind of stuff, therefore he earns money off of it.

It works out well for everyone.  I suggest you go and submit an article.  It can’t hurt.  If it doesn’t get accepted, just post it on your blog.  People will enjoy reading it.

Please visit the site, Rant Blogger.

vLusion Hosting Review

Posted on December 28, 2008

Hey guys, today I am doing an honest review about vLusion Web Solutions.  They currently do shared web hosting, including specialized web hosting, reseller web hosting, managed web hosting, and very good customer support.  I decided to buy the Business plan in the shared hosting category.  I am thinking of switching to a cheaper web host to emphasize my earnings online.

I first want to cover their shared hosting plans.  Because I bought it of course ;).  First of all, it is very fast.  I had no down time and I usually check my websites every hour just to look at comments/updates/etc.  The business plan comes with 5GB of space, 100GB of bandwidth, email, ftp, pre-installed scripts (fantastico), a site builder, 10 add on domains, unlimited sub domains, many email accounts with tons of features like imap/pop and redirects, also web stats and a heck of a lot more.  I did a little test drive to see how their support was.  So I asked a few questions via email.  They must have many representatives because it only took 75 minutes for them to return my email, and it is the holidays!  And by the way, the price per month starts at $2.95.  This plan I’m talking about is only $4.95.

I would now like to cover the “Specialist Webhosting.”  It is meant for certain types of websites.  Listed on the page they have image hosting, Joomla/CMS websites, and adult websites (many people try finding cheap and quality web hosts for this matter, I am telling you that vLusion is the best for it).  I am actually very interested in starting an image hosting company, so they might be my best bet as other ones that allow image hosting are way too expensive.

At vLusion web hosting, they don’t want to complicate things.  This is a quote from their website:

“Here at vLusion, we like to keep things down to earth and as simple as can be. Not everyone in the world understands the jargon involved in the web hosting industry, that’s why we strive to offer the best information in the simplest way possible.

Spend less time getting lost and confused, and more time developing your web site!”

Pretty much what they’re saying is they want webmasters and new people to get the full potential of web hosting.  This should attract many people.

vLusion has a 14-day money back gaurentee.  I was thinking of doing it but I don’t want to anymore.  They are so dang good, that it would be disrespectful to the world wide web to do such a thing.  But it is there for people that want it.  They also have listed on their website 99.5% gaurenteed uptime and unrivaled customer support.  vLusion wants affordable web hosting and quality service.  Their hosting and the price is the perfect combination in good service.

I was reading the “About us” page and they have some amazing things.  Example, if you are moving to them from an old web host, they will move all of your files and databases for free, and also take an additional 35% off your initial price.

If you are thinking of changing hosts, then switch here.  No work is required, the bill is cut in half compared to your old one, and they are here to stay.  I tested it myself, I will probably switch after my first month with them.  I’ll let you guys know of any updates.  Thank you vLusion, you have really made a change in my web hosting lifestyle.
